Nice action shot Sandy, We can even see droplets of water falling from the fish which adds to the action.

I really like this Sandy. Need the larger version to get all the great detail. Love the armored catfish and the water drops. For me the eye of the catfish replaces the need to see the eye of the bird well. Neat.

Great shot of this aquatic avian predator. Bittersweet that the bird has captured a non native species.

I like the action with spread wings and extended head and fish. Good DOF with only f/5. Nice shot, Sandy.

The larger version really brings an appreciation to all of the detail in the image. Great timing to capture the perfect moment!

Awesome action shot Sandy I like the shiny wet bird and the way it's holding up it's cool looking prize.

Your avian images are impressive Sandy. This is no exception. Love the shine on the wet feathers, the sleek pose pointing at the prize catch. Excellent.

cool image Sandy. Th esteely grey of the bird's wet wings is terrific. The water droplets falling from the fish and the bird's tail add to the immediacy of the photo.
