This is a very direct composition, with good focus on the stones in the foreground as well as in the foliage throughout, leading the viewer inexorably along the path to perhaps a vanishing point or a turn. But I have the sense of a nice, cool, shady forest environment, and a path that appears to be inviting. It appears to maybe be cut in the side of a hill or mountain with a steep incline on the right and perhaps a downward slope on the left.
I like how the image seems to be elevated off of the screen using that shadow. I'll have to look into how to do that.
Two suggestions; first, on my monitor (which isn't calibrated) the colors look quite intense, and assuming that others would see it similarly, it might help to reduce vibrance and/or saturation a little. Secondly, if possible, through selection of the spot on the path or using the dodge tool to create a little more luminance in the distance, but somehow to give the distant part of it more of a sense of continuation. If I look closely, I think I can see that, but at first glance, it almost seems to terminate.
But I definitely think you captured what it feels like to go for a walk in a nice wooded area like this.
