Coleus and Chard

by John Clulow

Beds of Beta vulgaris, "Red Magic" Swiss Chard were planted in the same areas as the tulips at Cantigney Park, and mixed, unlabeled, were what I believe to be a variety of Coleus. (If I'm wrong, let me know). The large red leaf is chard that broke off and lost most of its green, leaving bright red.

Any critique and comments welcome.

Well seen, John. The leaves have really interesting patterns and I like the composition. To my eye, the red Chard leaf is a bit overpowering.
