Congrats on getting such a fine image of one of my favorite herons. I love the markings on the night herons and those red eyes are gorgeous. The larger image is outstanding!

Wonderful pose and great red eye! I've never seen one with orange legs. Maybe my colors are off...I'm seeing a yellow green tint to everything except the eye. Sharon

Maybe a green cast from the water Ray, otherwise a super capture. Love the red eye. :toast:

Nice detail on the heron and I like the pose. I might consider a portrait crop to minimize the reflected water background. Good job in getting this shot.

Well composed with excellent exposure, nice pose and sharp too Ray.
With regards to the "yellow green tint" previously mentioned?
I might consider pumping up the blue channel just a tad.
