Fox Glacier, New Zealand
One of my favourite landscapes shot over the past year, from an ice cave in a glacier.

Excellent. I love the shapes and colors. It looks like an ice man in there, a couple of eyes staring out from an icy medieval battle hood.

This reminds me of something from another world. It must have been an awsome experience to witness this in person.
Well seen and captured!

Cool image. Would you please disclose how much photoshop you performed here? Looks to me like the left side of the face was mirrored from the right side?

Kah Kit,
This is freaky awesome! I clearly see an "Ice God" of some kind. What a great find! Love the blue tones and the contrasts light to dark. I can see why this is a favorite!

Excellent eye to see it. The highlights on the right side look blown out on my monitor, though. Love the blues and that must have been a trip to look up and see this staring back at you. Being that it is an ice face, it could be Odin, the Norse God.

Powerful! There is definitely a watcher in this cave of ice and it looks none too friendly.

Wild image, feel like the ice is howling at me. The right highlights look a little hot, maybe you can recover some in the RAW? Must have been fantastic in there.

Very little photoshop Rick. The secret of the photo is that it has been rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

Really interesting shot this one. I didn't know they'd let you get that intimate with Fox Glacier or would have tried harder when I was there. I think the pic would benefit from a human figure in there somewhere though, to give it scale and a stronger centre of interest. Matter of fact, I think a human figure should be allowed in any NPN landscape. But that's only my opinion.

Barry, these caves are only accessible by helicopter. The point of the photo is abstraction, the man in the ice looking back at you. Scale is supposed to be ambiguous and for that reason, having a person in the photo would be totally distracting.

Wonderful spooky find Kah Kit. Those "eyes" are quite piercing. Great choice on the rotation.

This one is truly amazing, Kah Kit. The natural blue cast or color makes a big impact so far as us actually being able to "feel" the image. Excellent capture overall.

Absolutely "cool" shot Kah Kit. The man in the ice, the face of the glacier, the god of winter, whatever, it is really an amazing image.
