This is one more from my rescanning of older work from slides of Hawaii. People watching the sunrise develop from Makahuena Point on Kauai's south side.
C&C welcome, and thanks for looking,
Morris

I like the human interest here, Morris. I think the people work well with the rocks, all in silhouette. The large sign kind of looks out ot place to me, but it was there, so it is what it is. Probably not a deal-breaker for most people. The sunny horizon is a good backdrop for the silhouettes. In this GND and digital world, I think we get used to blazing, supersaturated horizons, so this is a nostalgic reminder for me of unmanipulated reality. Still, considering the fact that the foreground is in silhoette anyway, I think I might like to see both the sky and the water just a tiny bit darker if it did not diminish the visibility of the exciting crashing wave in the foreground.

I love the wave action here against the dark background. Also the light and color in the crashing wave are excellent. I think the silhouette work well here.

The colors in the sky grabbed my attention first, then I discovered the wave crashing in the foreground. Lovely scene, very well composed. I too have mixed feelings about the sign, but it does draw attention to the people next to it and then further down the slope.

Like the others, the colour in the sky drew me in first, then the wave action in the fg. Lovely sunset scene!

The wave is super cool--but theres too much black for me in the context of the rest of the shot; it would have worked better for me as just a shot of the wave surrounded by black. You need to get back to Hawaii
