Took this several years ago before digital. Caught the sunlight just at the top of the wave.
Scan Pentax 35mm
Ektachrome film

Nice sunburst and rim-light on the breaking waves. I like the yellow and blue color contrast as well as the sort of fractal edge of the waves in light contrasted with the silhouette edge of the forest.

Just exactly enough of the scene is lit to cast an air of mystery and still reveal the setting. Pretty cool, John, and a little nostalgic to see the Ektachrome.

John, I love being on Lake Superior at sunrise and this reminds me why. I'm enjoying the mood here and the highlighted wave. I can hear the sounds now. I'm heading that way in a couple of weeks!

Wow the highlighted wave is really cool John. The right side of the image doesn't do much for me. I would look at a little crop there maybe.

John,
Although some might like the effect here, I've gotta come right out and say that this pretty much very under exposed. And we all know with the slide film, that didn't help, add the scan, plus we can remember average weighted metering gets fooled by the bright sun and sky and compensates by underexposing. Anyway, I'm sure you know that, but in the end for me it's just underexposed.
