Deep in the Garden

I'm reminded by this shot of the Rose Fyleman children's poem ` There are fairies at the bottom of our garden '. Blue anemones taken into the early morning sun.

Ian: Inspired comp IMO and a very nice result. Love the backlight on the main flower and the unconventional "look" out of the frame. Many kudos. >=))>

The balance of soft colors with just exactly the most pleasing detail is outstanding. Your composition took some time but I like it too.

Great result Ian. I would have been tempted to leave off the right hand side - but I like this with it. Although, I see an alternate comp there with just the one flower. Wonderful photo.

Ian:

I do like the single bloom. The shadow from the overlapping petals are like sepals and the bg gives good support to the main bloom. I am a little unsure of the cluster on the right. Whilst I do not mind it being there, the single blade of grass bisecting one of the blooms in the cluster bothers me a little. I do see an alternate comp with the main bloom with the shorter one on the right and blurring the rest of the cluster on the right.
