A rather nice herd of Sable, which I believe to be Africa's most magnificent Antelope.
These were found in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

There some eye contact with the camera... always a good thing. It looks like the lighting conditions were a little harsh but that combines with the dead trees in the background to provide the feeling of a harsh, difficult environment.. I like it.

Nicely done Ken! I like the composition here with the long, yellow grass in the background. We're counting down the weeks now before we'll be in Hwange, we can't wait.

I haven't had much luck with these guys. I think they pop nicely against the background here. Out of curiosity, is there any reason you chose to leave a little extra room on the right (more than the left)? I'd think they'd be fine if they were centered in this composition.

Thanks everybody for your comments and suggestions.

Joseph,
I hope you have a great trip, Hwange is "real" Africa, we love it.
Max,
Sable like most animals fail miserably in their attempts to pose tidily biggrin: I rarely like making the subject centred in this case I can only think i left a little more walk into space for the moving youngster

I like the rich color you were able to keep in this interesting grouping. I agree they are a fine subject.
