Mt Hood from Lost Lake

Taken a few years ago, Canon 20D. Bright low contrast sky with only a hint of cloud formations. Just various shades of washed out blue and green. Played with HDR and Nik Silver Efex to make it more dramatic than it was!

Great use of b&w in my opinion, Daniel. The slight ripples in the reflection just make the difference and bring the image to life for me.

Daniel, This made a wonderful b&w image. You wanted to make a more dramatic image with your processing and I think you did!...and I like it very much. Those clouds look awesome and like Peter I think the rippled water really added to the look here. Nice work on this.

The bw processing certainly works well here, enhancing that sky quite effectively.

Wow, I simply love the clouds, especially the cap on Mt Hood. The reflection is first rate as is the wide view of this beautiful scene. Great work, Daniel.

Love this Daniel, the B&W processing makes this a very effective image for me! The large version jumps off of the screen! :toast:

Wow, from only a hint of a cloud formation to this is quite a change. Looks really nice, bold and dramatic.

Yeah, good result Daniel! Those lenticular clouds warn of rain soon, so your visit was well timed. Processing looks great, given your description of the original.
