What attracted me to this comp was the amazing layers of petals on this peony. It looked so full and wonderful that I decided to focus on capturing that.

The whole flower looked great but I like this a lot and think the image shows what I wanted to show. Would love to hear what you all think about the comp.

I like the comp Sanjay. It is different, and effective. Great choice on the DOF to show the texture in the leaves. I like the grace, elegance, and richness of the comp.

I agree this is a very effective composition. The low angle light from the right upper works well to bring out the fine details in the petals. Also like the arrangement of the petals with half going up and half going down.

Beautiful layering. The color of the petals is particularly sweet against the dusky bf. Wonderful image

Personally I think the comp excellent, Sanjay. Often cut off petals don't work for me but here they do because the main petals are so fulsome, and the sweep to the sides of the frame is so strong. Great lighting and colour too !!
