Here's a close-up, semi-abstract tulip image taken earlier this month. Tulip, Fellows Riverside Gardens. D600, 150 macro, f5. Let me know if this one works. Thank you. :wavey:

I'm at a toss up on this Scott. I have always enjoyed images from the far side, and this is no exception. What kinda distracts me is the pronounced dark/sharp line following the lower right bloom. This might just be me.

Absolutely gorgeous in a lush way. A wonderful wash of color.

I like the bold line to the right of the bloom, as it lends substance to the immaterial color wash. I also like the small detail of the folds just above it.

Very nice, Scott. I like the way the pink bg bleeds into the bottom of the tulip and the one area where the textures of the petal are showing.

Scott: I like the unconventional horizontal comp and the BG color especially. Well seen and captured.>=))>

Love the shallow detail in the petal on the R, Scott, but don't quite feel the fulness of the main flower body. A lovely image whatever - delicate colour and nice light.

I love the color and the light Scott. I also like the lines on the right hand side. To me, the left hand side of the bloom just looks a bit odd.

Scott:

Works for me. Love the wash of color. The bold line and the faint but sharp lines in the white petals holds the viewer's interest. :toast:

Scott, I like the pink curve and the color combo here. Beautiful semi-abstract.
