Dead Trees

When the dam wall at Kariba was completed it took a few years for the lake to fill, whist many animals were rescued, the trees had to remain where they were and they are still there 60 years later. They do make fine perches for the multitude of birds.

Hi Ken,
Beautiful! I wish there was just a tiny bit more room on the left away from that tree. Colours and scene are very nice!

The warm colors in the sky and the water make for a very lovely image, Ken. My only suggestion would have been a bit more room for the tree on the far left. I could also see this working with a crop of about 1/3 off the left leaving the grouping of trees. Good stuff either way.

Guy and Ed,
Looking at this again I can only totally agree with your comments on the LHS. I am not very good at framing in camera

Ken,

Great subject matter, color and even nature story. I'd have to agree about wanting more room to the left - or you could simply crop/clone from the left and not take away too much from the impact of this image - the primary interest is in the group of ghost trees on the right. I like the arrangement and position of the clouds - works well with your comp.

Nice shot here. :toast:

I'm kind of wishing the left tree was not in there.
