Unstoppable Flow

Two exposures for DR (one for the sun star only). For water i was using 1/5 of the second to leave some details of the water stream and add more dynamic to my composition.
most tricky thing was to compose the sun in frame to get more light on waves, and make it well composed all elements together..I'm not sure about the mountains on horizon, for tonal perspective maybe i should make less contrast on it...
Any critique are appreciate !

Mark Metternich asked me what lens i was using... so :
I didn`t mention , all landscape was made with 14mm and the sun star was shooted from the same spot and same settings only with other lens 16-35 N . I guest you will hate me after that.. I didn`t wont to mention it becouse it is my trick. And I have not seen any body doing like that. But from other hand,if I will not be honest with others, i will have a bad sleeping at the night.. I should tell it before..

Works great. What lens and focal length?

your choice of shutter speed for the water is perfect. Love how it looks and how much range of color you have in there. Sky is wonderful, but looks like you might have a little bit of blown reds right in the middle? It's probably the monitor I'm viewing it on currently. It's a little hot. I do agree that something feels off with the mountain. I can't put a finger on it. Maybe it is the contrast. But your foreground really make this a winner.

The drama in the sky is very striking as is the light in the scene, Oleg. The sunstar is also a great plus along with the diagonal placement of the water flow. My only suggestion would be to tone down the highlights in the water just a bit. Other than that I think you nailed it.

Every bit of this works wonderfully to my eye, Oleg. This is outstanding. Great capture and handling of the processing work throughout.

Very cool scene and great light and color! Looks like the shadows are too open especially where the sunstar is on the bushes. Would darken/contrast that up a bunch along that mid area. Sweet spot!

Stunning... Love the color in the water, sunlight on the foreground rocks, flowing of water into the scene and a killer job with the Sun Star.

Beautiful comp and color. My only nit is I think the rocks and mountains that are in shadow might look more natural if they were a bit darker

Very dynamic looking landscape, the composition is well put together. The sunstar looks well rendered to me. Whether it is manipulation or not is open to debate, but I'm OK with it being in this gallery.

Oleg,

I'd say you did one fine job - not only with the capture, but also the processing. I don't see any issue with the contrast or tonal perspective with the mountains in the distance. The glancing light that would come from the setting sun sure seems appropriate. Beautifully done.
