Excellent back and forth action here. Great job making something this strong out of a pretty empty beach. I might work on cleaning up that halo on the horizon a little here but that's about all the stuff I can suggest. Might I add though, that this shot deserves more than the 100 views and 0 comments it's gotten in 6 hours here. What ever has happened to this site? There's no reason this can't still be one of the sharing venues online and it would be nice to keep it that way.

Great sky, mirros the foreground water action well, Perhaps a bit of attention to the tree line halo and a hotspot middleground, This must have been one of those sunsets where it was hard to concentrate on the shooting and not just taking it all in.

Pretty intense image. I'm treated to two simultaneous explosions, sky and surf.

My initial impression is that it is HDR, not an exposure blend. I like it as an HDR image, but as a photograph, it's oversaturated and the white balance seems off. The sky is what really stands out as HDR to me.

The composition looks pretty good. Perhaps a bit wider to capture more of the water flow in the foreground. The most interesting part of the water is at the very edges of the image. The horizon doesn't look quite straight either.

The sand at the right edge is brighter than everything around it and gets brighter as it exits the image. This draws my eye out of the frame. It is competing for attention and winning over the water and sky.

Something about the hillside is distracting to me as well. The color is off and the details look a bit noisy, but it's tough to tell in a small image.

I kind of like it, but it isn't really there for me.

Great and full of dinamic FG. I personally would like to see some more details on waves ! And little bit more sharpness ( maybe tripod was not so steady ? ) ! As Marc says hallows looks disturbing. In all thought it looks nice !

I think the image is nicely dynamic. I agree with cleaning up the horizon haloing and maybe reducing the saturation a hair. Kick butt image worth many comments. :toast:

Mike, it was really great sunset and the waves bother me a lot at that time but I tried my best to capture it.

Brad Strong,
It's manual HDR.. I think the colors of this picture is so sensitive that there are huge difference in the colors thought different monitors.

I agree with your comment.
