From the Bouquet + repost

I am playing around this afternoon with my new software, CS6 (trial) and NIK (thanks for all the advice) and have revisited captures from the archive.

This one is from a bouquet, a variety of an Asiatic Lily (thanks for the ID, Bill Fach). If I recall correctly, I used flash lighting from the bottom to enhance the glow of the petals.

Canon 7D, Sigma 150 mm macro 2.8, f/11 ISO 100, 2.5 sec, tripod, natural light + flash, PP in LR4, CS6 and NIK.

I've posted this in the Flora gallery. Feel free to move to Macro & Close-up if that is more appropriate.

Flash in a floral world is tough, but, I think you handled this well. I might be tempted to remove the 3 bright light spots. Well done.

Roger: This is a variety of Asiatic Lily. These kind of images are appropriate for Macro or Flora so we'll leave it right here. Nice frame filling comp and this does not looked flashed, which for me is a good thing. Hope you enjoy the new software. >=))>

Thanks for your comments, Bob and Bill. I did check the EXIF to make sure: I did use the flash on this one. I was playing with off-camera flash, a small diffuser and gels. I'm not sure if I used the diffuser and a gel here, but I am pretty sure this is one of those where I hand-held the flash below the flower.

And yes, Bill, I do enjoy the new software - still exploring and figuring out the workflow.

Repost with the three spots removed is attached. I had darkened them in the original post but they were still bright. Thanks for pointing this out, Bob.

I find asiatic lilies extremely difficult subjects, Roger. You did well with this one (with the repost).
