Another tulip from last month. I shot this in late afternoon, with the bg in shadow. So, I took the bg to black in pp. Tulip, Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown. D600, 150 macro, iso 400, f22. Thanks for looking. Larger image provided. Comments, questions, and suggestions welcome. :wavey:

Beautiful detail and color. I really like the undulating petals against the dark bg. Excellent image all around

Very nice color and detail Scott, along with your composition, definitely like the yellow's, they almost seem to glow.

I like the curved edges to the petals Scott. Nice focus on the center also. To me, this is not one of your most moving photos for me, but there is a lot of good about it.

Beautifully done, Scott. The waves in the petals create a nice sense of movement and the sharpness of the pistil is a real eye catcher.

Very nice indeed, Scott. I like the wonderful yellow color and the excellent subtle & soft falloff in overall DOF. Works perfectly on this capture.

It has such a nice feel to it! Reminds me in some ways of a cactus flower, but somewhat more opaque.

I really like the composition and perspective here. The dof is right on and the colors really pop.

Really like your artistic comp of this flower, Scott. The black background spaced around the edges helps highlight the lovely undulating flow of the petal edges. I also like the slight tilt of the pistil and your focus on the tips of the pistil. Nice DOF choice but this would also look great all in focus. Great color and some nice details of the texture in the petals.

Beautifully done, Scott ! So often it does not work to leave the blank spaces in this type of shot, but here they contribute so much with their rhythmic shapes.

Scott, I love the many and different lines in the petals all around the borders. Splendid photo and composition.
Take care.
