Posted before but though it fit the challenge.

For any squeamish, spider haters, I suggest not looking at the large view. RL you might enjoy it

'Lo, Charlie. Looks like you have been caring for your Argiopes well. I think this is the same species as your other entry. I am certainly no expert. This is pretty neat. I always look out for the egg cases as well as I can. Thanks for the inspirational image.

I appreciate you viewing and comments, Balan, Barbara and RL. Glad you coomented that you think this the same spider, RL. The shots were taken but about 4 or 5 feet apart in June 2010 and a few days apart.

Ok, now this really is creepy. And of course I had to look at the large view. . .the stuff of nightmares. Actually this is a great nature image to see, creep factor and all. . .what an amazing find! So many young spiders in a clump, although one is already wandering off. I like your angled comp of the stem with the counter-angled web. Very cool, Charlie!

Glad you looked Carolyn and hope you slept well. Funny but I think when I posted this before I said something like "what nightmare are made of".

Love this Charlie, great title too
Great comp with lots of interest..especially those for those of us who aren't squeamish in the least
A few years ago I worked with some green lynx spiderlings, they're quite a challenge to photograph.
Well done :toast: :toast:
