Backlit Leaf in B&W

I had posted something similar last year.

I have now invested in Nik Software (the full version which was available for $125 or so sometime back) and I quite like it for what it can do. This conversion was also done in Silver Efex Pro and manual adjustments to my liking.

ND300s, 200mm F/4 Micronikkor @ F/16, 1/125 Sec, ISO400 and Tripod.

Thanks a lot for your comments on White Daisy and let me know if you like this one. I claim no proficiency when it comes to B&W (or anything for that matter).

Nice, Ram. I like the subtle shadings where the leaf is a bit uneven. The intricacy of the veins really comes through in the B&W.

Fabulous detail, Ram. I like the way the vascular structure stands out as well as the subtle shading that gives form to the leaf.

Fun to see the results people are getting using NIK, isn't it? I'm sure happy with it in my processing.

So nice to see you posting again, Ram ! The daisy was a very attractive return, this ( unusual for you ) conversion has remarkably subtle variations in tone and depth, and a beautifully judged overall pattern.

Looks good and quite realistic. I especially like how the subtle shading shows off the topography of the leaf.
