An old shot from the archives I finally got around to processing. Not overly happy with the result, so your thoughts would really be welcomed.

Surfers waiting for some wave action during a stormy morning at Currumbin Rock, Queensland.

The surfers are only small dots in the water to the left of the rock. Better seen in the LARGER version.

Cheers, David.

Very nice and unusual low pov on the water is perfect and the rock formation is a good anchor point David. :wavey:
A nice capture all in all. Well done...

Even the larger version is is difficult to tell if they are surfers or seals  WOnderful sky and lighting, just wish the pose of the surfers looked more surfer like- ie paddling or standing up. I ealize with what appears to be flat surf may not have been a possibility. Could always clone them out and make a pure landscape, though I'm sure that was not your intent as they do add a sense of scale.

David,

I like this a lot! The surfers don't really add or detract from it at the sizes we can see here. Keep them or clone them. Perhaps they add more at 1:1 view. If you're gonna print it large, keep them. Please try a 16:9 crop and lose about 1/3 of the top of the sky. It's mostly dark and has little detail although it adds drama. The real star of this shot is the light rays. You could crop even more and lose some off the right edge as there are no rays there. By scrolling my browser window, I think you can lose 1/2 the sky and some off the right. You'll lose a lot of pixels, but that's not a big deal unless you're printing posters and viewing them from 6 inches away.

Absolutely gorgeous shot and technically excellent. (1/3 to 1/2 of the sky really needs to go) Try a crop and re-post please.

Beautiful image! I love the lower part of the sky and the light rays. I like the surfers in the image because they add interest and give it a sense of scale. I agree with Brad that the crop he suggested might make a stronger image.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Here is a cropped version and some slight dodge/burn adjustment too. Sorry, a bit late I know
Cheers.
