Title from a time when I had more speakers than gas in my car. I have a couple more images from this spot...my favorite rock in my favorite creek..but thought I'd start with this one. As I mentioned on an earlier post, I've been looking for something a little different in my Headwater images this year. I really liked the streaming ripples leading into this "roll". Does anyone else think it does justice to the flow of a mountain stream? I bumped the contrast, ALOT. Too much? Suggestions requested. Thanks for looking, large version included.

You certainly found something different here. That 'roll' and the ripples behind it add a lot interest to this image.
A nice sort of tension, if you will. I don't find the contrast beyond the pale at all. My only suggestion might be to burn down the brightest highlights of the big rock.
This is one of my favorites from your series. Well seen, captured and 'developed'.

Alternative title: Rock 'n' Roll?

I really like this- very elegant lines. Contrast works for my taste. Nice eye and composition. One of those images where there's more to see and enjoy the longer you look. Also one of my favorites of your series. :toast:

Fantastic abstract Nancy Lea. The flow line coming off the arc are mesmerizing.

Nancy Lea,

I'm really enjoying the "streaming ripples" and the roll off the large, gentle curve. What detracts for me is the bright rock in the LR quadrant. For me, that really takes away from the very cool texture and flow of the rest of the image. Different from the rest of your portfolio, yes. Does it belong in the HW portfolio, yes. Is it my favorite? no. The brightness of the LR just pulls too much away from the interest of the rest of the image. Just my .012374.

Looks like clouds bumping into a mnt range to me. A nice change from the normal cascade type images we see of mnt streams. The ccol blues and bright yellows work fo rme in this one.

It is amazing what you have discovered in your favorite creek. This one is totally different from your tapestries but another discovery that is all you. It is a lovely image once you adjust the brightness in the rock. I can imagine the care and joy you put into finding these images. Well seen! Chet

This looks very good and the blue reflection highlights in the water show off the flow structure very nicely. I do agree that some burning in on the rock highlight would help the overall attention balance.
