Hi all. I rarely post in avian, but I liked the light and the calm water when I got this family, so I thought I'd share this one. Geese are ubiquitous and can be a pain, but who can resist photographing the goslings? Mill Creek MetroParks. D600, Nikon 300. Full frame. Larger image included. Thanks for looking. Comments, suggestions, and questions welcome. :wavey:

A lovely, tranquil scene and a nice family portrait. The goslings are adorable. Very nice!

Very nice. I see quite a few Canada Geese out here, but not in such a tranquil, peaceful setting. I really like that atmosphere and the play of light and dark. Well seen and composed.

That's quite a gaggle of goslings Mom and Dad have to keep track of. Nice shot, Scott. Personal preference: I'm not a fan of the the vignette for this. It's dark and unnatural looking. Crop instead?

Thanks for your suggestion, Catherine. The vignette here is 100% natural, as the morning defused sun broke out just over this area of the lake when the family came around the corner. However, I'll try some crops.

Nice looking family group, with parents at each side of the 'pack'.
Great looking water & I like the abundance of green that dominates here.
The bit of rocky shore RT gives some context, i.e. a 'jumping' off point for the swim..
Swimmingly well done Scott
