Here is another image from a nest taken this past Sunday. After the eaglet that is bent over in the nest took off in flight to do a lap around the trees, the adult in the photo returned with a fish--about one minute after.

The fledged bird kept feeding, while its sibling we didn't see fly, seemed to be left with the scraps (the one perched by the adult).

Again, a large crop here, but I think the sharpness is better, and I like the bit of light hitting the one eye of the eaglet. D90, ISO-320, 1/1000th, 500mm. Thank you as always for any C&C.

Nice focus on the adult, Bill, and you got a little bit of light in the perched juvenile's eye.

A nice story captured here Bill, the focus is good and you did a fine job in what seems to be harsh enough light. :toast:

Thanks again guys! Yes on the light, I kept telling my friend, I hope one of the adults gets here soon before the sun is too high--unfortunately, it was higher and hotter than optimal. Still a neat scene to watch.

You mentioned this is a huge crop. I don't know that the nest and bird in shadow adds a whole lot, but I understand you can only get at them from one angle. Your detail and exposure on the adult looks real good and I wonder if it could stand alone?
