combine at sunset

I was photographing the wheat harvest this week in central Kansas. This farmer allowed my daughter to ride in the combine with him, and taught her lots :). A strong storm cell was located to the south east of us, and really glowed in the setting sun. The farmer stopped the combine in this spot for me, shutting it down. After taking a few different series, I told him I was finished. I shot one last series as he started the header turning. 7D, ISO 400, f/11, 1/8s, 51mm, small crop.

Beautiful shot of America's heartland! The comp captures the spectacular sky wonderfully!

Definitely depicts the stereotypical view of life in Kansas. Awesome sky. Well captured.

I grew up on a farm in Iowa, and this feels very familiar. You really got some nice contrasting colors here!
