Tough to get feather detail on these guys; you did very well. Good pose with the berry.

Great image Claude, bursting with colour. Neat pose from the bird and the berry in beak is great. Good detail on the fine breast plumage.
One small niggle for me is the leaves at the right hand side of the picture. They are out of focus and a bit in your face. I'd be tempted to play with the crop a bit to try and reduce their impact.

Can't fault it, Claude. Super sharp and great to have the berry in the beak

I love these birds, and here you captured their typical behavior ! Nice one, with pretty surroundings. Cheers, Hans

Claude,
Your signature block does not say where you are from. Where was this taken? This is a wonderful image of one of my favorite subjects. What type of berries are these?

Hello Patrick, this was taken on my farm some thirty five miles North of Montreal, Quebec. These nest in the area and flocks of 8 or more come around when the berries are ripe, they love all red berries and apple tree flowers. I don't know the name of the ones on the picture. Thanks for your interest.

Nice! I always have trouble getting a clear eye section, but here it is great and even has some reflection. What a keeper!

Excellent pose and well exposed. As already pointed out, the eye is nicely isolated from the mask. I usually see them feeding on berries when all the leaves are gone or have turned brown.
