Crossing Pattern

Thanks for your comments on my previous image. Another water and flow image in the same area of the Bridal Veil Falls runoff. While I liked the previous image for the color, light, lichen, etc., this one is more about the diagonals and the criss-crossing flow of the water. Toss in a fallen log and that's it!

Single image and a bit of TK's magic.

Your comments and honest critique, always welcome!

Thanks!

Lon

Perfect "flowing sand"! With the strong diagonal flows and criss-cross directions, a few rocks and a log for some diversity, durn near perfect! :toast:

Nice color and design on this one, Lon. As always it is nicely processed . Its all about the water though the log does provide a nice variety. I like it a lot. Chet

I really like the criss-crossing lines. Plenty of interest and elegance. I really need to start reading up on those luminosity masks. :toast:

This one seems to lack your usual structure and flow, Lon. Perhaps there is too much white water and not enough contrasting elements?

Lon, this one sure is refreshing today with our ongoing broiling heat down here in So Cal.

I like the water action a lot and find in this case the log plays a big role in a good central focus point but more importantly with the cascading direction & effect it causes on the water overall. The detail in the whitewater is excellent and you can see the actual flow patterns in each area. I thought about a slight crop from the top on the upper level cascade, but scrolling up and down it does not have the same good lead in visually at all. So, that works well up there too. Wonderful water action shot overall.

Excellent detail in the flowing water Lon especially in the larger view. I like the overall rhythm of the scene and I do agree the log plays an important role.

I really like this, Lon! The diagonals make this a very interesting shot, and the fallen log adds tons of interest. I really like this (did I already say that?). I may almost wonder if it could use a touch of contrast, but I'm not 100% sure. The large view is a treat!

A very nice intimate study. I could see pulling a touch more detail out of the foremost waterflow.
