Wild Daylily

by Carolyn Derstine

Gallery: FloraPosted July 2, 2013106 views10 comments
These daylilies are blooming everywhere in our area right now. I had transplanted some wild ones to a bank along our creek so I can enjoy them in my backyard.

Canon 60D. 180mm macro lens. F/5 for 1/250 sec. ISO 500. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Sweetly done! Excellent POF, with depth displayed by the OOF petals, buds and a final orange blob. Very dimensional.

Carolyn - Just beautiful. Waiting for our to bloom here in a little bit. Lily really seems to pop out of the frame.

Fabulous color, Carolyn, and excellent dof management. One of the best tiger lily images I've seen. :toast:

Beautiful color Carolyn, excellent detail, and the Daylily sits beautifully against the bg. Gorgeous work.

Great portrait Carolyn, I especially like the supporting buds and the orange under the center of the bloom.

Such a lovely bokeh to back up this vibrantly colorful flower. Perfect dof.
