Female pregnant meerkat in Makgadikgadi landscape. I liked her looking back pose and how the grasses point in the same direction.

Meerkat a.k.a. Suricate (Suricata suricatta) - Note: This Meerkat is part of a group of habituated meerkats, but these are totally wild & free.
Makgadikgadi Pans, Botswana
Camera Model Canon EOS 1D X
Shutter Speed 1/2000 Sec.
Aperture Value f/11
ISO Speed 1600
Lens EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM @ 125mm
Crop 95% of original.

I like the low POV and the pose of the subject.
Very well done!

Nice Vincent. Beautiful pose, beautiful light and beautiful cloud formation in the background.

Gotta love these little creatures, Vincent. An excellent open field capture of this female. Looks like it's doing a bit of sentry duty here for the neighboring group. :toast:

Excellent, Vincent. I like the setting and the fact that she seems to have her attention on something other than you. My first impression was that this could use just a touch of saturation, but now I'm not so sure after looking for a bit. :toast:

I love this one Vincent, Excellent POV and composition! I really like how the cloud mirrors the Meerkat's gaze. This one is still on my bucket list!

Lovely low angle and composition - I agree on the complimentary positioning of the blades of grass.
I think it can use a slight exposure/curves boost?
I presume it's at Jack's Camp?

This is just a really captivating image Vincent. Makes me wonder what he/she's looking at. The clouds are an added bonus.

A Beauty Vincent  I like the grasses, but the cloud formation is pretty sweet too. The large version is a must see.
