This was taken while returning from a hike to photograph a waterfall outside Taipei, Taiwan. It was cloudy when we started and this stream was just a trickle (so small that I didn't even bother to take a shot on the way out). But, it started raining on the way back and after about an hour of pounding rain that little stream was quite a spectacle. It had turned from clear to a golden muddy brown and really flowing with a roar.

Nice flooding image! :smile: This is a difficult theme to make a great photo of but I think you have succeeded very well, Sanjay. (I had taken some but was not pleased with what I had. :rolleyes:) Skillfully taken with a great comp. I like your shutter speed to smooth the water, the tree branches on the right hanging over the ledge, the tree branches at the top, the inclusion of the rock on the left directing the flow of the water, and the placement of the falls in the scene. The water color helps emphasize this is no normal flow of the stream.

The colors are very striking on this graceful image. Fundamentally sound as far as I can tell. It might be fun to crawl into that little cave with a camera.

That's some amazingly brown/orange water. You shutter speed does a great job of capturing the movement. I do wish you'd gotten the camera lower so that the branch in the upper left wasn't hiding the top part of the falls.
