WOW! 2 hover flies

I see there has been a rash of hoverfly photos posted to this gallery. Including mine. So, I decided to avoid posting another photo of a single hoverfly and sally out to do the near impossible: a photo of 2 hover flies, together. Ignoring gusting winds, hot sun, and pesky bugs, I managed to get a photo of two of the illusive insects in a single frame. And, I did not have to resort to the magic of Photoshop or some other computer program, of which I lack skill. Unfortunately only one of the two is in sharp focus and is not the one in front.

Yes, difficult to get multiple insects in the same shot in focus at this magnification, John, but you came pretty close. I'll try boosting the iso and increasing the dof, but this introduces both noise and a distracting bg. Your image is a good compromise if you ask me, and I like that you got both hoverflies in good position on the flower for anyone viewing the image. Thanks for sharing.
