Vivid Beauty
by Carolyn Derstine
I believe this flower is a type of "Osteospermum". I've always loved the vivid colors and clean design of these flowers, and also find the unusual color of the middle interesting. I darkened the background and added the frame to help accentuate the color and design of this beautiful flower. In the large version, lots of pollen is visible scattered on the flower, which I didn't attempt to remove. The lighter edging of some of the petals is also natural.
Canon 60D. 90mm macro lens F/16 for 0.6 sec. ISO 125. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

This reminds me a lot of Pat Sampson's scans. Very pretty
