Fern with "attitude"

I liked the look of this emerging fern frond. It strikes me as comical and looking as if it has an attitude. It is an emerging frond of a "Lady in Red" fern.

Canon 60D. 180mm macro lens. F/14 for 1/8 sec. ISO 400. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

And, yes, plants are allowed! Just no flowers.

I see the "hands on hips" mimicry. Good eye!

To me it also looks a bit like a seahorse. Very animated, that's for sure. Well seen and well taken Carolyn!

Lovely lighting and pose. The pose is definitely good for a big grin. Very well seen.

I have Lady Fern sans red in my yard. This is nicely lit. Background is perfect. The frond has plenty of character. The devil is in the details. I love the cobwebs.

Really lovely image, Carolyn ! Apart from the attraction of the plant itself the bg sets it off beautifully - and so glad you left the bits of web. Very well seen.

I get the impression of a green seahorse with this Carolyn. Cool shot.
