One of the most beautiful areas in New Zealand Mt Cook National Park which is famous for the highest peak in New Zealand, which appear in the image. The most difficult thing I faced while capturing this scene was the windy conditions where it was extremely hard to stand the coldness of that situation.

Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L II
Mt.Cook, South Island, New Zealand

Powerful, excellent image.
Love your processing.
Well done.

A wonderful capture Aziz and such a grand composition. The processing looks great, although it looks almost photo art'ish in the FG. I would LOVE to see this enlarged greatly.

I like the toning of the conversion and the great textures in the water. A grand scene, for sure.

I love the textures and the flow of the composition, but the processing does not work for me. I think it is largely the toning, which has a somewhat unnatural cyan tint that appears to have done some strange stuff to the contrast. I would suggest using more of a blue toning (instead of cyan), and check to see what is happening to the contrast. It looks like the toning is not applied uniformly to the image (spatially or tonally) - that might be what's causing the problem for me. The sky, for example, does not look like it's toned.

While the image has a lot of artistic appeal, the processing looks too funky for me. Maybe oversharpened in addition to Floris's observations. Reminds me of a wood cut etching. The glacial lake looks like the ocean, crazy conditions indeed.

Beautiful scene with wonderful details. I find the toning quite different and rather appealing. Is it just partially toned? Nice detail and motion in the stream and lake. Very nice.

Aziz,

Great to see a photo from you. I hope your travels to New Zealand are bountiful!

I'm really enjoying this image. Yes, a bit "artsy" and even painterly, but the textures and tones in the foreground are quite unique and make this image stand as a great piece of art. A wonderful artistic landscape.

It is a very interesting image, realism gave way to interpretation. I like it, and I like the cold, almost metallic feeling. Maybe, I would have included less fg, and maybe included a bit more sky... Just a thought.
