Howard, another great candid capture here. For me, the look appears to be of determination and taking his position or duty extremely seriously. This scene works extremely well with a single image telling in a blink of the eye a tiny story. Wonderful....

That is an intent stare. Excellent candid portrait. The shallow DOF works really well and the brightly colored shirt is a nice bonus. Very well done.
