Got this shot this morning of this chick doing the "wing thing" (as I call it) on Mama's back. I had to straighten it and brighten it as well. And it is cropped by at least a quarter.

I like the mood of this image and the raised wings and head of the youngster really make it special, Christine.

Major cuteness, Christine. I like the comp and terrific pose of the youngster. It's a little dark, and pretty grainy, but that creates an evocative mood.

A wonderful capture, I only wish there was a little definition in Mama's eye.

 Love this Christine. Looks like it's just trying to hang on for the E-ticket ride here. Sort of like Mr. Toads Wild Ride......

A lovely, evocative shot. I think I see a bit of noise in the surroundings; easily fixed. I wish for a larger version and for a bit of detail in Mom's head.

Thanks guys! I, too, wish the loon's eye was visible. One, it was taken on shore at first light and evening light is the best to get the red eye on that shore. Two, I didn't have time to kayak over for the better angle. I took what I could get. The graininess is from cropping it too much, I guess. It has a bit of a painterly effect from it though.
