I was photographing flowers at the nature center, here in central Illinois, when I noticed this male hummer land at the feeder. He stayed long enough for me to get several images, but this is the one I liked best. It was close to 7pm and I thought the light was very nice on him.

Canon PS SX50
1/200 @ F-6.5 ISO 400 + 0.7
Canon 4.3-215mm @ 215mm, HH

It is beautiful light and I even like what it does to the feeder. The nice arc of the feeder actually adds to this image for me. If you're shooting in RAW, I think I'd be tempted to try to bring out some of the shadowed areas a bit more.

Nice detail on the throat and chest. What are the 2 white things? Sharon
