Canada Anemone

Yet another image from Riverside Park. A slight breeze made this shot lot more difficult than it should be.

Techs: 1D3/180mm+tripod+cable release, ISO320, 1/15s@F10, -1/3Ev, Natural light

I used a slightly different workflow to improve color accuracy for this image. Am interested to know if the WB is OK.

Govind - It probably is an Anemone of some kind but then I am not a Botanist. Someone here might have more information.

Yes, I do not see any obvious color cast in this photo. Whites appear to be white. So I guess your new workflow is OK for the most part.

Its a beautiful shot, just wish the angle was not so steep.

White balance looks fine to me, Govind (assuming that flower is supposed to be white). Excellent dof and detail for the wind.

Ram, thanks for the ID. I believe you are right. This looks like a Canada Anemone. I am updating the title accordingly.

I would clone the spots on the petals, but the color looks good, and nice light to make the whites shine. Really nice detail in the center, too.

WB looks OK to me. Your 180mm must have a thin DOF. Anyway, the clear view of the pistils and stamens is delightful!

Very nice, Govind. Anemones make beautiful subjects, and I like the way you focused on the center and let the background turn into a contrasting green wash.

This is a lovely look at a beautiful flower. I like the hint of stem coming in from below, the tight focus on the bloom and the great green background. The whites look fine.
