Gentle

Another rose that caught my fancy. Lots of spots on it, but it was the only specimen left that showed full bloom and the delicate pink at the center. So, I made the shot and cloned away. Hope it still qualifies for Flora instead of Photo Art! I'll show them both.

D700, tripod, cpl; 105 VR; f8, 1/60, ISO 400, +0.33 EV.

Again, hoping to present softness and delicacy...

Just beautiful, Catherine ! The cloning was well worth the effort - the whites and touches of pink are gorgeous. I like the inclusion of the stretch of stem, and the light, variegated bg goes well with the flower. The dof brings out the centre to perfection. One tiny nit would be the small amount of room (especially at the top) but that's very minor.

Wow, that a lot of cloning. The end result is a lovely, gentle look deep into this rose. I agree with Ian that a bit more room at the top would be nice...assuming you're using photoshop, that's a job that content aware fill should handle well.

Wow, talk about labor intensive. But what a great result. Lovely whites and the pink is the icing. Nice dof and clarity, too. Beautiful image.

Catherine - Whoa !! - Did you clone all those spots or did noise reduction like technique was used  ?

Wonderful work in rescuing a Rose most will not not shoot. Love the whites slowly turning to pinks at the center. A bit more space at the top will strengthen the composition !
