WC593 - Koi Chaos

Koi. Kyoto, Japan.

Taken in one of the many beautiful Koi Ponds in Kyoto a few years ago.
I took quite a few exposures but didn't get many with a pleasing composition. This works in the chaos category, but I have a few which are more 'zen'.

Nikon D200 - 1/2 sec at f/11 -0.3 EV

As always, thanks for looking and for your comments.

That many koi together does certainly give a feeling of chaos! I like how they are going every which way, and the blurred look adds to the sense of movement and general chaos. The varied colors and curves of the fish stand out vividly against the darker water. The comp is fine as is but one thought I had was to crop in from the right to make this almost a square image. This would cut out some of the empty areas of water plus put the two parallel koi in more of the 2/3 spot since they make a great focal point. Good entry to illustrate chaos, Sanjay.

Beautifully chaotic, Sanjay. Good use of low shutter speed. Looks like a painting. Well done!
