Dahlia

We have Dahlias blooming early this year as the Garden folks preserved the bulbs in the green house for winter.

A pure white Dahlia shot in an abstract fashion. Not too happy but I have enough opportunities in the season.

ND300s, AFS60mm F/2.8 Micronikkor @ F/5.6, 1/200 Sec, ISO 200, Diffuser and Handheld.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Humble Geranium and let me know if this appeals to you or not.

Imaginative comp and a fine abstract, Ram. If you're not pleased with this, I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

I like this Ram, just enough detail to hold my attention.

I'd be pretty happy with this one, Ram, but your standard for abstracts is extremely high. Glad to hear you have access to some dahlias this summer. They do offer great abstract and non abstract photo ops. Looking forward to seeing the images.

Fade to color. Love the progression of clarity. Just barely enough to focus on. Excellent work, Ram!

Been puzzling over what you might have found to be slightly unhappy about, Ram, because this looks pretty darn good to me. If anything maybe once the eye leaves the URC things do just lack a little definition. But really those are counsels of perfection - I'd hang this on my wall !!

I really like this, Ram, but I prefer it with a 90 degree clockwise turn. That could just be me! There is also a small white spot in the yellow part that could go. These are VERY minor nits since this is an excellent abstract image.

Very delicate and simple, almost a minimalist photo. I love it, Ram.
Take care.

What is not to be happy about here? The yellows & whites are gorgeous as well as the way the lines radiate down from the upper right corner!
