This is an icon...with what I hope is a fresh take! Any guesses what this is?!

Lovely light at sunset on Half Dome, Yosemite.
I like all the texture in the granite and the trees give this nice sense of scale.
What do I win?

Definitely a fresh take from what I've seen. I love the power of the illuminated face of halfdome, and the wonderful side light falling on the rest of the granite. I would typically avoid the cut off trees on the right, but it works here because they are against the wonderful light on the far right. If this was mine I might consider darkening the granite in the foreground just a hair, but it's not a big deal. Wonderful work.

I absolutely love the light here! Great take on an often photographed icon. This is one I'd love to see printed really big.

Half Dome at Sunset from the Olmstead Point vantage. It is nice. I like the warm and cool tones and the lines formed in the rock.

I like the many and various lines throughout the image; the FG angles, the vertical goldens on the right, and the converging elements in center. Nicely done!

Truly awesome lighting and exposure control here shows off the essence of Yosemite's high country! The blue/gold color contrast also adds some excitement. Well done.

I sure do like the telephoto view, and the low contrast and gold light of the far walls. I like Ben's suggestion of slightly darkening the near granite slope.

Wonderful use of light here and a more original composition than what I've usually seen.
