An absolutely gorgeous image,Scott. The spider isn't sharp throughout, but I see this more as a "Nature as Art" image than strictly Nature. That beautiful red glow and gradual gradation of color, along with the sharp face of the spider make this a wall-hanger. The fine red frame is a very good touch.

The oof wash of color along the top is wonderful and makes a great ceiling for this little spider. At first, I toyed with cropping a bit from the right, but decided that I really like the wash of oof yellow from the flower's center. I also like the empty space on the left for the spider to jump into....any moment now. Very well done.

Thanks, Mark. I forgot to note that this was slightly cropped from the original on all four sides. I also played with additional crops, including more off the right, but went back to this one to keep the yellow wash in the frame.

Excellent detail in the spider's face and a beautiful wash of color above the spider. I also like the spider's position on the leaf. Very nicely done!

Very intimate image, Scott! I love those eyes! And the overall color haze is great.

The colors make the image. I like the spider and placement, but without the bright colors it would not be as strong image.
