Busy Bee

We watched "Best in Show" again yesterday with my mother-in-law. This morning, was the second outing in the flora ID class.

So this was like a "bee's eye view" of a Tall Bellflower or Capanula americana in the Bluebell family. But that would not, in and of itself, been sufficient reason to post this in the Wildlife forum.

No, the deciding factor is that the style and stigma of this flower resemble the trunk of an elephant. So with those two factors going for it; viz., the bee and the elephant trunk emulation, I decided on this forum as the best place.

K-5, Tamron 90 mm, f/22, 1/180, ISO 3200 in a breeze hand held.

Your thoughts?

John, I understand the reference to an elephant in the shape of the stigma but due to the small size of the area depicted in the frame and the dominance of the flower in the frame this would be best posted to the macro or flora gallery in my opinion. We can let it stand here on this occasion for comments and critique but it's really a stretch for the Wildlife Gallery.
