Western Bluebird

Another shot of the same bird and on the same evening as my last Bluebird post. Most of the shots I got that night included prey, but there was once when he went back to the apple for a few moments after making his delivery. I liked the simple profile shot.

7D, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Black Widow on RRS legs, f7.1, 1/640, Av mode with no compensation, iso 640. Processed in CS6 and cropped to 8.7MP. Taken July 25th at 7:39 pm.

Your comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

I think I need to visit this gallery more often - there are a lot of fine images being posted over here. I really like the color here and your choice of DOF is perfect. Excellent work!!

The one with prey is a Nature shot. This is more of a wall-hanger.
