Fjallsárlón Midnight

I just returned home from a 2 week trip to Iceland and this is the first image I'm posting from the trip. Iceland is truly and amazing place and is a landscape photography paradise.

This was our campsite at the Fjallsárlón Glacial Lagoon in SE Iceland. Camping here was a surreal experience. It was really relaxing going to sleep listening to the ice cracking and melting into the lagoon. We were really amazed by the length of the days in Iceland and the fact that it never actually got dark at night.

Nikon D800, Nikkor 14-24 at 14mm, no filters
30 seconds at f/16, ISO 200

Special thanks to my wife for the light painting inside the tent.

Super Cool!! The ice in the background looks awesome and the glow of the tent works great. What a campsite!

What a perfect place to camp! The yellow tent is a nice compliment to the blue twilight hues.
