Female Western Bluebird

Another from last Wednesday. The female of this pair is considerably more skittish than the male and seems hesitant to perch in nice locations (she'll perch on the post supporting the bird box or one of our other boxes quite nicely, but seems to prefer them to more natural looking perches). She did pause on the apple tree briefly during this session.

1Div, 500mm F4 ISL + 1.4TC, Black Widow on RRS legs, f8, 1/800, Av mode with - 1/3 stop compensation, iso 640. Processed in CS6 and cropped to 7.1MP. Taken July 31st at 3:44 pm. Filtered sun.

Thanks for looking,

I really like this composition, it shows off the bluebird very nicely (good detail,) and includes a taste of foliage and nice BG.
Very well taken Dennis, congrats!
