Here is another image from my trip in the Canadian Rockies in Dec 2012.
I posted a repost on my last post with adjustments. Thanks for those valuable comments!!
I finally settled on this composition. I took a few test shots of this scene, and decided that being "eye level" was the best perspective. Being 6'5" I like shooting eye level
Man, being a big guy is a pain in the ass on the ground playing twister!
I do not have much experience working with the moon, so I know that the area around the moon is a bit off. Since I took this shot at 14mm, I wanted to have the moon larger and more natural. I shot the moon at 50mm on a separate image, then used the healing brush in "manual mode", selected the 50mm moon, and painted it into the scene in roughly the same position. If anyone has a better way to do this, please let me know. I doubt what I did would hold up to print!
Any ideas on how to a better job would be appreciated

9 commentsFor the moon you can just mask it back in...select and mask. Easy breezy.

Beautiful light and comp. Based on the trees I can see the camera was relatively level, but the line described by the break between the snow and trees gives me the feeling the image is tilted. From what I can see in the larger version you did a good job with the moon but it seems a bit to bright for the lighting conditions.
