. . it's the humidity

Sony A77
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/125 @ f8

Early morning a couple of days ago I spotted this last of our daylilies to bloom in 2013. Hustled in to get the camera but forgot that it had spent the night in air conditioned comfort while the humidity was somewhere near 105%. The lens kept fogging over and I kept wiping it off but I also liked the effect of shooting through the "fog". All comments welcome. >=))>

I like it. Good example of effects of humidity. 105!!! Makes me even happier that I live in the Pacific Northwest.

What a spectacular effect the fog on your lens gives to the image, Bill! I like it, it is different. :wavey:

Bill, a very happy accident. The very novel treatment is effective & I particularly like the effect on the droplets. I would wonder about more space top & bottom.

I have the same problem sometimes but for us it is coming out of a warm house into -40 !! I'll take -40 over 105 humidity !!! Lovely natural filter on this shot Bill !

I really like the effect it had on your shot, Bill. The sharpness still shows through the misty appearance. Lovely light and color as well. Wonderful image!

Bill - I was once rewarded the same way. Foggy Front element can sometimes create really works of Art.

Love this highly creative rendition of the Daylily. Initially I thought this might be a cram but was pleasantly surprised !

Amazing what the "wrong" conditions can produce. Love it.
