Welcome to NPN Daniel. A pretty nice first post, I like the pose and the composition. Hard to comment on the clarity and sharpness with only a small version posted. You'll probably find more people will critique your work if you also provide a large version (1200px on the long side) with your postings. Jump right in and you'll learn a lot from the many talented photographers here.

Hi Daniel and welcome to NPN. I moved your heron from the Wildlife Gallery to the Avian Gallery, where it belongs. Although birds are also wildlife we have a separate gallery for them at NPN. By the way you can also post images up to 720 px and even have the option to include a 1200px version.
I like the natural colors and the mood in your image. I think the inclusion of the entire reflection of the heron would have been a good option here.
