Ongoing Drought

Trinity Lake, Northern California
Years of inadequate rainfall have left the lake (a reservoir) level at the lowest in many years, and at a capacity of only 61%
"Normal" water level is just below the tree line, and I remember this from years ago. Will it ever recover?

Most boat launching ramps are way above the water and useless, and fishing, swimming, and other recreational activities are severely impacted. The birds, animals, and nearby small towns who depend on summer tourism are the most affected.

Keep hoping, Sandy. Cheney Lake near Wichita, KS was at this level of water. Now it is above normal after a couple weeks of heavy rains. The drought ended in the eastern 1/2 of KS this month, but only after flooding occurred along many creeks and rivers.
